you deserve my most sincere apologies - i've been absent for nearly 2 weeks. {bad blogger bad!}

buttttt, in my absence, i've compiled some realllly juicy goodies for you! - i hope you think they're juicy.

juicy in a good way, not juicy as in poopy juicy. okay gross.

anyway, i'm at work right now (and i'm blogging - can you say baddass?!) so, these gems will have to wait  for a later debut. my main squeeze at work - ashley - is getting married on saturday, so today is her last day at the studio. what will i do without her!? who will i eat lunch with?! who will i sametime with?! ahhh it's going to be a rough couple of weeks, but i'm soooo ecstatic for her! needless to say, she will be a b-e-a-utiful bride!

speaking of work, i have an embarrassing/hilarious/how could you be so dumb?! story to tell you. later my lovelies, later.

accidental adventure

ok. first of all, to understand this post, i must give you a bit of background on my mama bear.

she's loving, playful, crazy, bossy, intuitive and quite simply put - she does whatever she wants.

{in a good way}

the two have us have had gajillions of what i like to call "accidental adventures"

to us, they're funny. but, you may roll your eyes in complete disgust.

a bit spooky, yes?

but totally ethereal & peaceful at the same time - when my time comes, this is where you'll find me or at least some place similar. unless of course i live forever, which could totally happen. duh.

we came upon this gem of a place by accident last night.

in fact, mom definitely drove through the lawn to get to it.

seriously though?

seriously. it was worth it.

just splendid.

this past weekend was just that...marvelous.

my mama finally arrived home from scotland on saturday evening, so molly & myself spent the majority of sunday with her. she brought a few adorable gifts from here. can you say cahhh-uttte?! how about that ahh-mazing fabric & wall paper. i'm dreaming of a nursery for my unborn child.

can't believe tomorrow is already hippity-hump day!

i am alive. i apologize for my weekly blogging droughts - work has been exhausting & by the time i get home, i'm more than ready for tv time with B.

currently obsessed with:

i literally cannot wait for fall fashion.

dying to wear amazing jackets, wide-leg trousers, faux fur, leather boots & booties.

plus whatever else that fantastic season brings!

however, this morning i'm up early & ready to enjoy a sunshine-filled day with my girlies! recently, i've most enjoyed waking up by 7:30 on saturdays, my husband does not understand it the least bit. there's something rewarding about having a load of laundry finished by 8:15. hey, the early bird gets the worm, right?

currently, i'm sitting on our patio, overlooking the town of delafield, enjoying a very large bowl of cheerios. it's a beautiful morning - the church bell just rang (signaling 8:30), birds are chip-chirping at each other and those late-summer cicadas have made their arrival. my mama most always has a cup of coffee on the front porch this time of year; i can still remember the feel of the cool concrete on my toes while sitting next to her as a child. i love memories like that.

{side note: those cicadas remind me of going back to school - yuck. yet, they also remind me of this time last year when B & i were planning the last details of our wedding - yum.}

speaking of wedding, i just received great news from our photographer (krakora studios) that our wedding is going to be featured on Style Me Pretty! i'm totally jazzed - will keep you posted on details!

this afternoon, i'm making the trek back to madison for a pool day with two of my best girls - molly & krystle. i can't wait for lots of laughter & lots of sunshine!

road trip!

weekend activity: road trip to indiana!

my sissy & her boyfriend moved to indiana this weekend, so we went along for the ride!

{husband helped with the loading & unloading, 

while mama and i lent a hand with the unpacking}

there's something about setting up a home that makes me all fuzzy inside!

although i will miss them dearly, their new place is adorable & i wish them nothing but happiness! xo m&t!

on a side note, it's hotter than you-know-what here. i attempted to catch a few rays today, but i think heat stroke was about to set in after 10 minutes. fail.

due to the heat, husband & i will be enjoying an ice cream treat tonight. after all, it is national ice cream day, {i promise i didn't make that up}. i think we're going to try this ice cream shop - has anyone been?
